Frequently Asked Questions

When can I get a key?

Keys open to the waitlist first, in the order people joined. Join below and you will hear when your key is ready.

Is the Starter plan really free?

Yes. 5,000 requests a month, no credit card, for scorecards, matches, players and search.

Is the data live?

No. OpenCricket serves complete ball-by-ball history, refreshed as new matches are published. Live scoring is planned and will be labelled clearly.

Can I use the data commercially?

Pro includes commercial use. The underlying data is Cricsheet's, under an attribution licence, and every response carries the credit you need.

What happens if I hit my quota?

Requests return HTTP 429 with monthly_quota_exceeded until the next month. There are no automatic overage charges.

Do you offer annual billing?

Not at launch. Annual plans will appear here only when they can actually be bought.
